Sundowner Tourist Parks has been in operation from Port Macquarie since 1991 and is involved in a range of innovative and productive tourism and event based projects.

Our Events

Festival of the Sun (FOTSUN) is a three day outdoor music festival held wholly within the grounds of Sundowner Breakwall Tourist Park in early December for up to 3,000 people.

FOTSUN has been running successfully since 2005, with Sundowner having developed an experienced local team managing all aspects of the production of the event including promotion, talent, ticketing, staging, accommodation, publicity and security.

The success of the Festival and the contribution it makes to tourism and the region has been recognised by the tourism industry with FOTSUN being named winner of the Major Festival and Events category at the 2010 North Coast Tourism Awards and is a finalist in the category for the 2010 NSW Tourism Awards.

‘North Coast Schoolies’ is a local program developed for Year 12 school leavers, holding week-long activity programs in a secure and controlled environment.

‘Schoolies’ is held at both Sundowner Breakwall and Sundowner Tiona with up to 300 students from NSW having taken part in any one year.  Activities range from in-house themed nights to external adventure based activities organised with local business operators.
